Terms and Conditions

It is a requirement of attendance at the markets as a seller, that you have appropriate indemnity and public liability insurance to protect you against litigation. The organizers of the markets (Lions Club of Emu Park) and the Livingstone Shire Council DO NOT cover any liability on your behalf. Many insurance vendors will cover this activity.  Your own insurance company can most likely provide suitable cover for your market activities.

The following link is to a  web page on the government website regarding business planning, in particular market stalls, may assist in understanding considerations for operating a market stall.

Ensuring a Smooth Market Day Experience

To guarantee a seamless market day experience, we have established certain procedures that sellers must adhere to:

1. Booking Confirmation: It’s crucial to ensure that your booking is properly registered well in advance of each market day.

2. Cancellation Notification: If you find that you won’t be able to attend on the scheduled day, please give us a call to let us know. “No-show” sellers’ booked sites may be re-allocated.

3. Late Arrival: In case of late arrival, you may be required to accept a different site if one is available. If you fail to notify us of your inability to attend, your permanent site may be reassigned after two months. Please note that there’s no guarantee you’ll regain your previous site.

4. Payment Process: Payment for each site is collected at the gate. All sellers must pay and enter via the gate or make payment before entering the market area if they have sites adjacent to the roads and don’t require on-site parking. Setting up before payment is made is not allowed.

5. Assisting Our Cashier: We greatly appreciate sellers who assist our cashier by having the correct payment amount ready upon entry. This helps reduce wait times for everyone.

6. Site Confirmation: Upon payment, you will receive confirmation of your site number. If you’re unsure of the location, one of our team members will be happy to guide you to your site(s).

7. Vehicle Usage: Sellers are permitted to have their cars on site in permitted areas. We have designated parking areas for cars during the market’s duration. It’s important to note that moving vehicles is prohibited after the official start of the markets or before their official end. In case of an emergency, your car should be slowly escorted by another person walking in front of the vehicle. The maximum speed allowed in any grassed area of the market is strictly walking pace.

By following these procedures, we can ensure a positive and organized market experience for everyone involved.
