Terms and Conditions

Filling the booking form does not automatically mean you have a confirmed booking. The market coordinator will call you to confirm your booking. Please ensure you have correctly filled out the contact details on the form so our coordinator can contact you. If you do not get a confirmation, then you are NOT booked in to the market.

It is a requirement of attendance at the markets as a seller, that you have appropriate indemnity and public liability insurance to protect you against litigation. The organizers of the markets (Lions Club of Emu Park) and the Livingstone Shire Council DO NOT cover any liability on your behalf. Many insurance vendors will cover this activity.  Your own insurance company can most likely provide suitable cover for your market activities.

This web page on the government website regarding business planning, in particular market stalls, may assist in understanding considerations for operating a market stall.

Info For Market Stall Holders

One company of many who can provide market insurance.

Google search for market insurance.

There are procedures in place to ensure a good market day experience. It is essential that you ensure that your booking is properly registered well in advance of each market day. If you find you will be unable to attend on the day, please call and let us know. “No-show” sellers’ booked sites may be re-allocated after 7:30am. If you arrive late you may be required to take a different site if one is available. If you do not notify us of inability to attend, a permanent site may be reallocated after two months. You will then be required to take another site if available.  There is no guarantee you will get your old site back.

We take payment for every site at the gate. All sellers must pay and enter via the gate or pay prior to entering the market area if they are on the sites adjacent to the roads and do not need to park on the grounds. No seller may commence setting up before payment is made.

We appreciate the sellers who assist our cashier by having the correct payment amount ready as they enter the grounds. This make wait time less for everyone.

You will have your site number confirmed when you pay. If you are not sure of the location, one of our people will show you to your site(s).

You are allowed to have your car on site provided it does not impinge on any other sellers site. There are several areas where cars can be parked for the duration of the market. You are not allowed to move vehicles after the official commencement of the markets or before the official end of the markets. In an emergency, your car should be escorted slowly by another person who is walking in front of the car. The maximum speed in any grassed area of the market area is strictly walking pace.
